PRELIMINARY DIAGNOSIS AND WATER QUALITY OF THE PORTEIRAS STREAM IN AN URBAN STRETCH OF PETROLINA-PE

Soil use and occupation alter the physicochemical biological processes of aquatic ecosystems. Urban streams are fundamental components macro-drainage system cities; however, with advance urbanization, most modified to point that they no longer recognized as but sewage receptors. From this perspective, study aimed diagnose physical environment around urban stretch Porteiras stream Petrolina, PE, by determining Water Quality Index (WQI) Trophic State (TSI).
